Codename: Doug

(Thinking of changing my name to Michael Stand)
Current thoughts:
- Single person 2D physics game using accelerometer
- Simple rules (ala MadMoney presentation)
- Use Cocos2d (since I saw it up close and personal today)
- before the night is over figure out a real title, guess I'll have to have my staff start doing some market and customer research, see what name is stickiest)
Project plan - investigate Cocos2D sample code, find closest example to what I want, and develop as much of a marble/target type game as I can
Project team - just me right now, pretty sure I'd get in the way on someone else's team - probably begging morsels of advice and hints as the night goes on (if I get annoying just tell me to go away :-)
Game Jam Results: by Wednesday morning, I had slightly playable marble rolling game under the influence of gravity, accelerometers, and simple collisions.
What I wished to have finished last night and will be working on in the short term:
- More accurate collision detection
- Better game play based on hitting of correct and incorrect targets
- Better synchronization with sound
After that...who knows?
