Amoeba Wars, is a real time multiplayer strategy game, by Team Phobic, taking place in some molecular goop. Players must grow their amoebas by collecting resources and defeat their enemies by producing viruses and parasites.

Having only 10 hours, we didn't quite finish but the rough basics are all there. We hope we can get back to it at sometime and release it, but for now we need to get back to working on Bounce On 2.

Music

Gameplay

Gameplay is pretty simple. Players create red blood cells that collect oxygen they bring back towards their amoeba(yea we know...). As the amoeba gains oxygen it grows and the player can choose to create more units with the oxygen making the amoeba smaller or if they grow large enough the amoeba will split. You can move your amoebas in the map and try to corner off resources from your opponent connecting through bluetooth . Once you make enough units you can attack and destory the enemies amoebas and win the game.

Technology

Amoeba Wars uses the Team Phobic engine written almost entirely in C++. Levels are created in Tiled and physics are done with Box2D. The amoebas were made using Metaballs.
